Richard died peacefully at home on 16th April 2021 after bravely enduring a long and debilitating illness. He served in the Royal Air Force as a radar navigator on Vulcan bombers; had his own language teaching company; then became the Bursar for the West of England School for Children with Little or No Sight. After retirement, he became Vice-Chairman of Devon Community Housing, and a Teignbridge District Councillor from 2000 to 2003.
    He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and his beloved wife Jennifer.
